Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

From home base in Fargo to cities across the country, Team Tellwell had an eventful week. Let’s see what we were up to!

A cameraman wearing a Tellwell-branded jacket films a man inspecting or cleaning the wing of a small aircraft inside a hangar. The man, dressed in a gray jacket, holds a cloth and a checklist while standing on a stool. The aircraft, marked with the tail number "N96418," is parked under a wooden-beamed ceiling with bright overhead lights. The scene captures a behind-the-scenes look at an aviation-related video production.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

Filming, and then more filming! 🎥

This week, the film team had three days worth of filming! Earlier in the week, we visited Wyndmere Public School for an ongoing project highlighting frameworks and standardized curriculum programming within the school. We hopped from classroom to classroom, showing several class subjects and varying age groups. We have a few more days of filming for this project, so keep an eye out for that!

A behind-the-scenes look at a video interview setup in a colorful elementary school classroom. A woman sits on a stool, holding a document and speaking to the camera. A filmmaker, wearing headphones, operates a professional camera rig with an external monitor displaying the interview. Soft lighting and a boom microphone are positioned for optimal audio and video quality.

Later in the week, the film team was once again on the road, this time to the Twin Cities! This is the first of 12 films for this Story Maker. We had quite a few location changes from office, to home, even to the local airport to get some plane footage! Getting to fully immerse ourselves into the livelihoods of our film subjects is always so fun, we gain a new perspective and new experiences every time! Next week, we are capturing three more films for this project, so stay tuned for more adventures!

A professional interview setup in an office, with a man in a navy blazer speaking on camera. The image is framed through a camera monitor displaying the subject in focus, while the background includes an American flag, framed certificates, a wooden desk, and a cozy seating area with pillows. A boom microphone and studio lighting are visible, and the interviewer, holding a sheet of questions, is partially seen in the foreground.
A film crew member operates a professional camera rig, capturing a family of four posing in front of a small airplane at an airfield. The family, dressed in warm clothing, smiles for the shot, standing between rows of metal hangars under an overcast sky. The cameraman wears a Tellwell-branded jacket and cap, focusing intently on the scene.

Strengthening connections across the country ✈️

Since one of our local Story Makers is the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley, why not create deeper connections across the country? While Project Manager Megan was in Philadelphia, she reached out to the local Ronald McDonald House in the city for a visit.

Fun fact: this was the first RMHC in the world! Anthony Stover, their Community Relations Manager, gave her a tour and shared some of his favorite stories about Founder Audrey Evans. Strengthening the connections within organizations is so rewarding, and having the opportunity to see where it all started was so worth it.

A smiling woman sits on a bench next to a statue of Ronald McDonald, leaning slightly toward it. Behind them, a large wooden wall features an inscription about the world's first Ronald McDonald House, which opened in Philadelphia on October 15, 1974. A modern staircase and glass railing add depth to the background.
This image features an informational sign about Ronald McDonald House programs worldwide. The sign states that there are over 380 Houses globally, following a model that began in West Philadelphia in 1974. It highlights that these programs exist in 62 countries and regions. Below the text, there is a world map with red dots marking the locations of Ronald McDonald Houses. A yellow label with "You Are Here!" points to a specific location in the United States. The sign is bordered with a yellow and orange gradient frame.
A woman and a man stand together, smiling in front of a historical timeline display at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. The man wears a red Philadelphia Phillies hoodie and a lanyard, while the woman wears a black top and jeans. The timeline on the wall highlights key milestones in the organization's history, beginning in 1974 and continuing through the years.

Tellwell student tour 🎉

We welcomed graphic design students from Bismarck State College into the Tellwell office and studio on Friday! Senior Design Strategist Sandie, Chief Storyteller Max, and Senior Web Strategist Riley gave these students a tour of our spaces along with a presentation about us, the work we do, and how we do it! Welcoming students into our space is always exciting and such a fun way to end the week!

This image captures a group of people gathered in a modern, casual office space for a discussion or presentation. The room features cozy seating, including couches and stools arranged in a semi-circle. A woman at the front stands next to a screen displaying a presentation. The background includes a vibrant mural with a campfire, trees, and a neon sign reading "Tellwell," adding a creative and inviting atmosphere. The space is well-lit with large windows allowing natural light to stream in, and there are personal touches like plants and artwork on the walls.
That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming April 11th!
This image shows a cozy indoor scene where a family is gathered around a wooden dining table playing a card game. A woman in the group is holding up her cards, seemingly engaged in the game. Two light-colored Labrador retrievers are lying on the hardwood floor, both wearing bandanas—one in a black bandana and the other in a yellow one—looking relaxed. A camera operator with a stabilizing rig is filming the scene from the left side of the frame. The setting is a well-lit, homey dining area with wooden furniture, warm lighting, and a chandelier hanging overhead.
