ALL THE CLICKS
THE STORY
Do you ever feel pressure to write a super-engaging (cough-clickable) headline? Headlines set up a story and give people a brief first impression. This lets them know if your article (or email) is worth their time. We understand how much a lil’ line of copy can have a huge impact on the success of a story.
DATA TO THE RESCUE
Our friends at Social Media Today shared some data [infographic] that will guide you in the right direction. Here’s a sneak peek:
- Don’t use these words: “magic”, “tip”, “simple”, “cure”, “easy” – people know nothing is easy and muggles don’t get to use magic. Cut the fluff and be real with your readers.
- Do this instead: use bracked information like [Slideshare] or [Infographic] and use descriptive words like “amazing”.
