As most people are sending their kids back to school, businesses are getting ready for the holiday shopping season. Yes, already. Here is some data from last year’s holiday shopping season. Since there are even more options for how to purchase gifts through the interwebs, we predict an even bigger increase for online/mobile shopping.

Google, the internet know-it-all, shared 5 things to watch this year. Here’s Digiday’s overview as well. What does this mean for your business? Offer options for how people can purchase your products and services. Invest in mobile shopping experiences. If you have a physical location, find ways to bring online shopping in the store (online coupons, app, etc.). Also, don’t forget the small holidays. Anyone celebrating Cheese Pizza Day on Sept. 5?!

Although everyone has an opinion (whether they like it or not), it’s interesting to see why they made the change and the variety of motions and elements.
