The film crew decided to meander their way on over to Montana for the entire week (yeah, you read that right) to film an absolutely enormous amount of commercial spots for our dear, dear friends at Kenyon Noble. Okay, this one is Tellwell-adjacent, but just too fun not to share. Duncan’s dear wife and honorary Tellwellian, Vanessa, spoke at StartupBREW Fargo this week to talk about her entrepreneurial journey with Farmented Foods.
Vanessa and her co-founder, Vanessa (seriously, they’re both named Vanessa) are the co-founders of Farmented Foods, a local Montana vegetable fermentation company. They met in 2016 in a class at Montana State University. Little did they know that their class project was going to launch them into a career they could never have imagined.
Today, Farmented Foods can be found all across Western Montana in both stores and used in restaurants. Their partner farmers network stretches just as far and is growing. You can also find them at the Red River Market every week in downtown Fargo!
