Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

Storytelling All The Time. Shenanigans, Occasionally. Everything is Coming Up Roses for Team Tellwell as the week wraps up! Are You Listening Yet? Let’s dive into this week’s plog! 🪩

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell (and the resident Harry Styles lover, happy album release day!!) and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it! 🕺🏼

Ready, Steady, Go to the award show! 🕵🏼

Last Friday, Team Tellwell had one mission: Attend the AAF-ND American Advertising Awards in secret agent style. We gathered with fellow creatives from the state of North Dakota and our region to celebrate the great work we’ve all done over the last year.

A group of seven colleagues poses excitedly on a stage at the American Advertising Awards (AAF). They are dressed in formal attire, holding "Gold ADDY" awards against a blue digital backdrop that reads "Operation: Awards."
The same group of nine people from the "lineup" photo, now smiling and laughing without their sunglasses. They are tightly grouped together against the same striped background.
A close-up of a woman in a blue-lit room, playfully pretending to drink from a sugar cookie shaped and decorated like a martini glass with a blue rim and green olives.

This year, we walked away with four ADDY Awards for “Rodeo Dreams” — a commercial for our Story Maker, InterBel. From making things Pop with the editing and writing, to making sure the Aperture was just right in the cinematography, this commercial was a fun one (check it out below). We are so proud of the work our entire team — design, web, strategy, and film — gets to do every single day.

Fun at UnCon 🎨

On Thursday, we had several Tellwellians attend Unglued’s UnCon — a conference for creatives, makers, business owners, and beyond. There were keynote speakers, crafty breakout sessions, and time to come together with others in the community. This day felt like a Paint By Numbers — starting with a base idea of what the day would look like, but slowly seeing it come to life one color at a time.

Three women stand together smiling for a photo in a modern, industrial-style office space. The woman on the left wears a paisley blouse, the center woman wears a plaid blazer, and the woman on the right wears a black t-shirt and a long plaid cardigan.
Two hands hold up watercolor technique sheets. The papers are divided into a grid, showing various paint effects labeled with titles like "Salt," "Saran Wrap," "The Drip," and "Splatter."
A wide shot of a workshop taking place in a large, open industrial space. A woman stands at the front leading a presentation while participants sit at long wooden tables, with a colorful, textured fabric art piece displayed on the left.
That wraps up this week! For now, you’ll have to play The Waiting Game for our next plog, coming March 13th!
