Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

We podcasted, we filmed, we learned, we visited – we did a lot this week! Let’s see what we got up to at Tellwell!

A woman in blue medical scrubs sits in a hospital room holding a water bottle, smiling at the camera. A man in a black fleece jacket stands next to her, holding a film slate that reads "First Care." A professional boom microphone hangs from the ceiling above them.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

First filming of 2026 🎥

We had our first film shoot of the new year this week! We headed up to Park River and spent the day at the local hospital, capturing interviews and b-roll with several community members. This was day one of filming for this film, and we’re definitely excited for this one.

For this film, we’re sharing the story of a scary medical emergency in their town and how it prompted AED education and awareness in their small community. Day two of filming is coming up quickly, so there will be more behind-the-scenes moments coming soon.

A man wearing a baseball cap and black clothing crouches inside the cramped interior of an ambulance, holding a professional cinema camera. In the foreground, an empty yellow medical gurney with white sheets and black restraint straps is positioned in the center of the vehicle.
A close-up of a Hollyland wireless video monitor sitting on a wooden table. The screen shows a live feed of a group of people sitting in a circle on a carpeted floor practicing CPR on medical mannequins. The background of the photo shows the actual room out of focus.

WellTold community learning ✏️

Remember that nonprofit storytelling conference we held last year? Everyone that attended is part of our online WellTold community and we’ve been very active over there! Chief of Staff Annie held a workshop called “Ready, Set, Goal!” where she walked through how to turn your goals into plans. She shared frameworks that REALLY work, methods to apply these goals, and ways to identify points of friction in the process. If you’re interested in learning more, click here to read Annie’s blog post and get a taste of WellTold community resources!

Several printed worksheets are scattered on a wooden table. The top sheet is titled "MEANINGFUL GOALS" and features an "Action Surge Framework" with a five-step green arrow pointing downward. Other visible headers include "Getting Started" and "Strategies for Progress."
A screenshot of a video presentation. The main slide has a teal background with the text, "GOALS ARE ASPIRATIONS WITH PLANS... NOT CHORES." A small inset window in the corner shows the presenter, Annie Wood, speaking from a home office.

The space-themed illustration features a blue rocket, a planet with rings, and three whimsical, one-eyed blue aliens in space helmets against a dark starry background. The text states the event is on April 30, available in-person or virtually.

Connecting states away 🚗

What do you do when you make a pitstop in South Dakota? You meet up with Senior Web Strategist Riley, of course! Last weekend, Project Manager Megan traveled down to Sioux Falls for a weekend of hockey and made sure to connect with Riley before heading home.
