Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

We were here, there, and everywhere this week! Let’s see what we were up to this week at the Tellwell office and out in the world.

A behind-the-scenes look at a video production in a gym equipment store. A cameraman in a black cap and glasses films the scene with a handheld camera, while a group of crew members adjusts equipment near a treadmill where two men are engaged in a workout. A large light source illuminates the space, and a tall orange ladder stands nearby. The background is filled with gym machines, weights, and fitness-related products, creating a busy and professional filming environment.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more!

RACC Bingo

A group of us attended RACC’s Handbags for Healing Bingo event on Saturday! Being able to participate and sponsor events for our Story Makers is always so much fun, and who doesn’t love some Bingo? We had delicious brunch and beverages, along with 16 rounds of Bingo! It’s always a win to support amazing organizations like RACC.

A group of seven smiling people sits at a long table covered with bingo cards, colorful daubers, drinks, and small decorations. They are in a lively venue with exposed brick walls, large windows, and a crowd of other bingo players in the background. One person holds up a bingo card, while another displays a sign that reads "Event Sponsors: TELLWELL." The atmosphere is fun and social, with everyone appearing excited and engaged in the game.
A close-up of bingo cards, a pink bingo dauber featuring a cartoon frog, and an event program on a black surface. The program mentions a fundraiser for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center and includes a "THANK YOU SPONSOR" section with the Tellwell logo. A small "Giving Hearts Day" sticker is also visible.

Casa Davka Retreat

For part of the week, Chief Storyteller Max, Senior Film Producer Duncan, and Chief of Staff Annie spent their time on a retreat with Casa Davka. It looks like they took the snow with them as well! Here is a quick summary of their time, courtesy of Annie herself:

“We headed off to the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) for a couple days of deep diving into planning for Tellwell’s 5 year goals. With the support of Emily and Hunter of Casa Davka, Tellwell will be set up to better share the creative services we offer, why and how our expertise supports our Story Makers’ goals, and continue to grow!”

This image shows a group of five people smiling and posing for a selfie outdoors during twilight. The sky in the background is a deep blue with a visible crescent moon and some stars. The group consists of individuals dressed in warm clothing, suggesting a cool evening. They appear happy and close-knit, likely capturing a memorable moment together.
This image captures a winter scene with a light dusting of snow covering the grass and a sidewalk. A black metal fence encloses an outdoor area, possibly a pool or recreational space, with a mural on the wall behind it. The mural features desert imagery, including cacti, and a circular emblem. In the background, there are beige stucco houses with flat roofs, and the sky is overcast with gray clouds. Leafless trees with thin branches frame the image, adding to the wintery atmosphere.

Late night film shoot

It’s rare to have film shoots outside of regular business hours, but when we do, they are so worth it. Lead Editor Matt and Cinematographer Jordan spend their Wednesday night at the local Scheel’s, capturing behind-the-scenes content of a few of their team members during a commercial shoot. We will be using this footage as a way to showcase the career opportunities that a local university’s alumni have pursued. Talk about film-seption!

This image shows a group of people inside a well-stocked outdoor or sporting goods store. The store contains various bicycles, bike accessories, and other fitness-related gear. Some individuals are engaged in conversation, while others appear to be involved in a filming or production process, as evidenced by professional camera equipment and lighting. The atmosphere suggests a business or promotional event, possibly related to cycling or outdoor activities.

MAAH DAAH HEY: TOGETHER screening next Friday

Tellwell and Detroit Mountain Recreation Area are stoked to host a screening of MAAH DAAH HEY: TOGETHER on Friday, February 7, at the historic Fargo Theatre.

Behind the dog, a colorful mural with a camping theme features stylized mountains, trees, stars, and a campfire. A neon yellow "TELLWELL" sign glows on the wall, with its power cord visible. The cozy scene is set in a creative and inviting workspace.
