Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!
It was a week full of connection, creativity, and stories in motion. Catch up on all the highlights in this week’s plog! ❤️
This week’s writer
Hey friends! I’m Jenny, this week’s plog writer. By day, I serve as our Story Maker Success Manager, where I have the amazing opportunity to connect with our Story Makers and build new relationships in the community. Naturally, with Giving Hearts Day happening this week, it felt like my Super Bowl and I loved every minute of it!
Giving Hearts Mania ❤️
This week, StartUPBREW had a Giving Hearts Day takeover. Two of our Story Makers, Missy Heilman with BIO Girls and Deb Kaul from Memory Café, were the featured speakers. They shared their missions and the founder stories behind their organizations, and it was so inspiring to hear how it all began.
I also had the chance to share an announcement about our nonprofit storytelling conference, WellTold, happening April 30 at Brewhalla. A little insider tip… we’re kicking off a big ticket sale starting this Sunday through the end of February, so make sure to register here!
More Giving Hearts Day! 🫶🏼
As I mentioned above, Giving Hearts Day is my Super Bowl. It gives me the opportunity to travel around the community and support our Story Makers.
There were so many fun moments, including seeing the reveal of Carter the Cart, which we helped create for the Emergency Food Pantry, and watching Heart & Soul Community Café, one of our Story Makers, receive the $25,000 gift from Gate City Bank.
I had a blast cruising around town. There were plenty of sweets involved, and my heart was very full.
On the Road Again ✈️
The Tellwell film team spent the first half of the week in Long Island capturing a day in the life of a Hall of Fame inductee for one of our Story Makers. They filmed at his office, attended batting practice with his son, and spent time with his family at home, highlighting both his professional and personal life.
The team then traveled to Texas to follow another inductee. Filming included time at his office, a visit to the local zoo with his daughter and grandkids, a round of golf with a friend, and one on one time with him and his wife.
Four of the six films for the project are now complete, with one more trip left to go!
That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming February 20th!
