Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

Another eventful week for the Tellwell team! Filming, donuts, and events galore – let’s dive in!

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

Harvest Moon Fling 🌙

Last week, the team had the privilege of attending the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center’s Harvest Moon Fling. This year marked 40 years of RACC doing amazing work in our community and we always love showing up for our Story Makers. The night was filled with delicious snacks & sips, an in-depth panel discussion, plenty of fundraising, and lastly – the impact film we created for the event. We always love partnering with RACC to bring stories to light and showing the impact this organization has within our community.

Donuts for RMHC Day 🍩

Tuesday was RMHC Stripes Day and we indulged in some sweet treats! RMHC has a mission to keep families close and provide the comforts of home while kids receive medical care, and they are another of our lovely Story Makers. A portion of the proceeds from these donuts will go directly to supporting the work they do in our community – and who doesn’t love a donut for a good cause to start the day?

Let’s make some films 🎥

The film team had two film shoots this week – one near, and one far! On Monday, they headed up to Langdon, ND, to capture the story of a family that used RMHC’s services during their daughter’s medical journey. We love immersing ourselves in the lives of those featured in these films, and this was definitely a fun one. We have a bit more filming to finish this one off, but we can’t wait to share the finished product early next year!

Later in the week, we had even more filming! It’s gala season, which meant making another impact film for a local nonprofit that will be shown next month at their annual fundraising event. We highlighted a local man’s mental health journey and how this organization was pivotal in his healing. Keep an eye out for this project, wrapping soon!

Giving Hearts Day training ❤️

Tellwell hosted a Giving Hearts Day training this week for local organizations! Max spent the afternoon sharing the importance of powerful storytelling and how it can connect donors with the mission of an organization. Giving Hearts Day is creeping up quickly (only 17 weeks away!), so helping organizations get the ball rolling on their messaging was really rewarding.

That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming October 24th!
