Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

This week was packed with community events, filming, and fun. Let’s see what Team Tellwell was up to!

A group of eight smiling adults poses for a selfie at a formal banquet event in a large, elegant ballroom. The background shows a packed room full of people seated at round tables, with chandeliers overhead and colorful stage lighting on the far side reading “YWCA Women of the Year.” Everyone in the group looks happy and dressed in semi-formal to business casual attire.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

Celebrating community women ✨

To kick off the week, we had the privilege of attending the YWCA Women of the Year event—an evening dedicated to celebrating women who are changing the game in our community. Being able to show up and support one of our Story Makers, along with many inspiring women within the Fargo-Moorhead community, was so rewarding.

Congratulations to the recipients, nominees, and the YWCA for another year of uplifting and empowering women!

A person holds a vibrant event program that reads "April 28, 2025 – YWCA Women of the Year presented by Sanford Health" in bold white text against a red and floral background. In the blurred background, round banquet tables are set for dinner in a warmly lit event space. A table number sign reading “702” with the Tellwell logo is prominently visible.

The background shows a large crowd seated at round tables, with chandeliers above and pink stage lights illuminating banners that read “YWCA Women of the Year.” Everyone in the group is smiling, with some striking playful poses, dressed in business casual and semi-formal attire.

Local filming this week 🎥

It seems that local filming has been a rarity recently! This week, the film team spent time in Fargo and Bismarck filming with some major voices in local and state education. This film will highlight the success of an education program that allows paraeducators in our community to receive their teaching license–making a direct positive impact on the teacher shortage issue within our state.

Stay tuned for more filming for this project, and for more traveling coming next week!

Celebrating over pancakes 🥞

Another day, another Story Maker event! As a team, we attended FirstLink’s Annual Breakfast. This event highlighted the accomplishments of their Care & Support Program–a program that provides free & confidential support to those in need through regular check-in phone calls.

Showing up for our Story Makers is so important to us–whether it be through attending events or being an event sponsor (or both). With our bellies and hearts full, we left this event with a deeper understanding and connection to the amazing work FirstLink does.

A yellow sponsor card on a metal holder reads “16th Annual Breakfast – SPONSOR – TELLWELL” with a small coffee cup graphic. The card is placed on a black tablecloth in a large, well-lit conference room with high ceilings and rows of ceiling lights. Other event materials and flowers are partially visible on the table.

Holbrook Farms highlight 🧡

Holbrook Farms, one of our amazing Story Makers, was featured in the Military Times online magazine, how exciting! Holbrook Farms offers wellness retreats to serve military survivors, providing the setting and community to restore balance, connect with nature, and ensure they are never alone.

Highlighting this important organization means so much to us, and this article was a group effort from Team Tellwell. Getting the word out about the services, retreats, and resources of Holbrook Farms is a huge step for them. It’s estimated that the online article will receive 250,000 views and will be shared in 50,000 copies of the physical magazine (wow)! Click here to learn more about this amazing Story Maker.

That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming May 9th!
