Tellwell won some Tellys!

No, this isn’t an award we gave ourselves. We are so excited that two of our projects were honored In Season 45 of the Telly Awards.

What are the Telly Awards?

“The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens. Founded in 1979 to honor local, regional and cable television commercials, with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after, the award has evolved with the rise of digital video to include branded content, documentary, social media, immersive and more. The Telly Awards today celebrates the best work in the video medium in an exciting new era of the moving image on and offline. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries globally from 6 continents and all 50 states, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world. The Telly Awards recognizes work that has been created on behalf of a client, for a specific brand and/or company (including your own) or self-directed as a creative endeavor.”

At Tellwell, we get to work with some fantastic clients that give us the opportunity to tell impactful stories. Every year, YWCA Cass Clay highlights one of the many women and families they serve with a short, documentary-style film. This film premiers at their annual fundraising event and propels them through the giving season. Last year, we got the opportunity to share Tracey’s Story.

Tracey’s Story received a Bronze Telly Award in the General and Non-Broadcast category of the People’s Telly .

Just Like Grandpa

Family farms are the legacy of North Dakota. They are the backbone of our state, region, and frankly, the country. When our good friends at Choice Bank needed to get in front of their agriculture market, we jumped at the chance to film in our backyard. We took the opportunity to showcase a real family farm (no actors here) outside of Adams, ND. This 60-second commercial played across the region on local TV stations and streaming platforms, sharing how Choice Bank is always #peoplefirst.

Just Like Grandpa received a Silver Telly award for Craft, Videography & Cinematography and a Bronze Telly Award in the General, Local TV category of the People’s Telly.

We are so grateful to be honored as part of Season 45 of the Telly Awards. Thank you to our wonderful partners and storymakers, Choice Bank and YWCA Cass Clay. And a special shout out to Tracey Wilkie and Joe Bata for fearlessly starring in these projects.
