Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

Team Tellwell had travel, events, and birthday celebrations this week. Let’s get into it!

Two women sit in orange camp chairs on a small patch of artificial grass, in front of a colorful Tellwell-branded backdrop featuring trees, stars, and a campfire scene. Between them is a display of plush campfire props, including a felt fire, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Behind them, a sign reads “Idea → Impact” and “We Bring Stories to Life,” along with Tellwell’s logo. A monitor beside them displays the message “you matter.” with hashtags and a link to #breaktheice.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

More film team adventures 🏔️

To start off the week, the film team jetted off to Denver for some filming! We were in the heart of downtown, highlighting the collaboration of a university and a major healthcare organization. We captured several interviews, hands-on healthcare B-roll, and establishing footage of the city.

Lucky for us, Director of Production Duncan is a Denver native and showed us all his go-to places! It was fun seeing all the nostalgic parts of the city with him as our guide, we can’t wait until we’re (hopefully) back in the future!

An older man sits in a kidney dialysis chair as a female nurse wearing purple scrubs gives him care. A man holds a video camera, filming the interaction. Another man stands next to the camera operator with a handheld camera, taking photos of the scene.
A two-layered utility cart filled with camera equipment. On the bottom shelf, there are three hard cases lined up neatly. On the top shelf, there is a tablet, a phone, and a camera. There is also a large monitor attached to the cart, showing a man in an interview setting.

NDANO Conference 📓

Mid-week, Story Maker Success Manager Jenny & Project Manager Megan represented Tellwell at the NDANO Nonprofit Leadership Conference! Both Jenny and Megan shared some insight from the event:

Jenny
“At our booth, Tellwell offered live “Spark a Story” sessions—mini storytelling prompts designed to help attendees reflect on their impact and mission. As a fun incentive, participants were entered to win a FREE ticket to next year’s WellTold event, with spark cards to take home to keep the creativity flowing.
We are honored to be a member of NDANO and grateful for the chance to be part of this powerful gathering of leaders and visionaries.”

“The 2025 NDANO Nonprofit Leadership Conference was packed with fresh ideas, big inspiration, and real talk for change makers. From learning how to host respectful conversations that “soften hearts, not change minds” to diving into the wild world of AI tools (spoiler: they’re basically eager interns), every session sparked something new. The Bush Foundation team reminded us to dream big and build the skills to match. Whether it was talking boundaries, fundraising, or leadership, one thing was clear—we’re all in this together, and curiosity just might be our nonprofit superpower.”

Overhead lighting is modern and geometric, and sponsor banners including Alerus and The Title Team are visible in the back of the room.

Birthday bagels for Jen 🎉

We celebrated a (belated) birthday this week – Graphic Designer Jen! You all know how much we love sharing a treat with the team to celebrate, so of course we got birthday bagels! 🥯 We believe in “connection before content” so being able to set aside some time to chat, eat, and celebrate before diving into our work was a fun way to start the day. Happy birthday to you, Jen!

A smiling woman in a red plaid shirt poses in a kitchen area, holding a colorful sign that reads "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! ♥ Team Tellwell" with a green balloon drawing. In front of her is a plate with a single bagel and a large plastic bag filled with more bagels. The background features modern dark cabinets and a stainless steel stove, with warm overhead lighting.
A cheerful group of people is gathered around a counter in a brightly lit office kitchen, preparing bagels with cream cheese. A smiling woman in the foreground wears a dark hoodie, holding a plate with a toasted bagel. Behind her, a man in a plaid shirt is focused on spreading cream cheese. Another person’s arms are visible on the right, also making a bagel. A black coffee mug and a bag of bagels are on the counter. The background features large windows, a red couch, and colorful wall art.
Two people are enjoying a casual conversation while eating bagels in a modern office kitchen area. The woman on the left is smiling and wearing a royal blue blouse, while the man on the right, dressed in a black shirt and light blue overshirt, is mid-sentence. Both have plates with bagels and coffee mugs in front of them. The background includes bright decor, a colorful mural with the word "TELLWELL," bookshelves, and plants.
That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming June 13th!
