Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

The seniors retreated in Denver while the rest of us held down the fort at home. Let’s dive into the week!

Five people stand closely together, smiling, on a sunny day in a wide open grassy field with trees and mountains in the background. They are wearing name tags and conference badges, suggesting they are attending an event. The sky is clear and blue. Everyone is dressed casually, and the atmosphere appears friendly and relaxed.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

Senior team conference and retreat 🏔️

This week, the senior team made their way to Denver for the Workhuman Conference and senior retreat! Throughout the four-day conference, the team attended several presentations from keynote speakers including Adam Grant (don’t worry, Annie kept her cool) and Trevor Noah. These conversations focused on leadership, fostering connections, and more.

Two women smile for a selfie at an indoor conference. They are both wearing name badges and lanyards that say “workhuman.” One wears a blue plaid shirt and pink backpack, and the other wears a black top with a colorful bag strap. A “workhuman” sign hangs in the background above tables filled with people.
A speaker stands on stage in front of a large screen with a bold pink and black backdrop. The slide behind him reads “2. Recognize culture carriers” with the word “culture” highlighted in red. The slide also includes an abstract image of gold pins connected by string, symbolizing a network. The speaker is mid-presentation, gesturing with both hands.
A woman wearing a yellow t-shirt smiles at the camera. She is holding a cup of coffee and wearing a lanyard with a name badge, suggesting she is attending a conference. There are several rows of chairs surrounding her. Her expression shows excitement and happiness.

Outside of the conference, the team had a blast exploring the city. As a native of Denver, Duncan played tour guide! From finding local art throughout town to sitting down at some fun restaurants, the seniors spent their downtime creating deeper connections with each other and making some fun memories along the way. As much fun as it’s been for them, we can’t wait for the senior team to come back (we miss you)!

Event hopping ✨

This Thursday, we had the opportunity to attend the Chamber Choice Awards and Heartland Trust’s 35th Anniversary party!

A small group represented Tellwell at the Choice Awards because we were nominated for “Young Professionals Best Place To Work”! The afternoon was filled with cupcakes, on-stage entertainment, and of course, recognizing the work of local organizations. Congratulations to all other award nominees, finalists, and winners, it means a lot to be listed among so many amazing local organizations!

Three women and one man stand for a photo under a balloon arch created with yellow, white, and blue balloons. They appear to be at an event. There is a backdrop that reads “The Chamber Fargo Moorhead West Fargo”.

As soon as the awards event finished, Lucas and Kari hopped over to Heartland Trust’s 35th Anniversary Party! Tellwell was honored to create an impact film that aired at this event. Seeing the faces and hearing the reactions of employees and family was so rewarding. Being able to share the history and growth Heartland Trust has seen over the years was so fun, and we’re so happy the film is out in the world! Watch the impact film below to learn more about the company and their many fun characters.

A man and a woman stand in front of a photo backdrop. The backdrop is dark green and reads “Heartland Trust Company”. They are both smiling and pointing at the test, showing their excitement to be at the event for this company.
An event with several tables filled with attendees takes place inside an air museum. There are flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling and planes spread throughout the space. There is a screen that reads “Heartland Trust Company. Thank you for joining us in celebrating this important milestone.”
A decorated stage setup for the Heartland Trust Company’s 35th anniversary celebration. A large screen displays the message: 'Thank you for joining us in celebrating this important milestone,' along with the Heartland Trust Company logo and '35 Years.' The stage features a podium wrapped in green string with the company’s logo, a large illuminated '35' sign, and a bouquet of white flowers in a glass vase. Green, gold, and silver balloons line the front of the stage. The event is set in an aviation-themed venue, with a yellow biplane and airplane décor visible in the background.
That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next Plog, coming May 23rd!
