Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

We had film shoots, we had cookies, we had a great week overall! Let’s dive into what Team Tellwell got up to.

The image shows a group gathered around a kitchen island with plates of assorted holiday cookies. Two people, one in a green shirt and one in a brown sweatshirt, are smiling as they engage in conversation. Various cookie decorations and baking supplies are visible, creating a festive atmosphere in a modern kitchen setting.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more!

Visiting the Great North Pole

To start off the week, we attended the Great North Pole’s Week of Giving operation. This organization’s mission is to help children and families in Cass and Clay Counties during the holiday season. From filling carts to stacking boxes, Team Tellwell captured the hard work and dedication of volunteers and the joy of recipients. What a great way to begin the week!

The image shows three people holding professional camera equipment, standing in front of a festive backdrop that says "The Great North Pole." On the left is a Christmas tree decorated with colorful ornaments, including green, pink, and blue ones. The setting appears to be an indoor event space with a holiday theme.
The image shows a behind-the-scenes video shoot. A woman in a green shirt with colorful holiday lights is being interviewed under a bright circular light by someone holding a tablet. A cameraman adjusts his equipment in the background, while others prepare materials in a workshop-like space with holiday decorations and boxes labeled "Jerzees."

Tellwell Cookie Day!

The team wanted to share the holiday spirit this week by hosting a cookie exchange! Everyone brought in their homemade batch and we shared amongst the team. From personalized stockings, caramel-filled chocolate, and maple chai glaze, there was an impressive spread and everyone was sent home with their fair share of goodies!

This image shows several plates filled with a variety of cookies, likely prepared for a festive or holiday event. The cookies include chocolate chip cookies, thumbprint cookies with chocolate centers, crinkle cookies, frosted sugar cookies shaped like stockings and trees, and swirled meringue-like cookies. Some cookies are wrapped in plastic, labeled with names like "Max" and "Sandra," suggesting they might be gifts or part of a cookie exchange.

Skateboarding Extravaganza

We headed back to a local skate park to finish up filming for an exciting impact film in the works! Getting out of the office and into such a different environment is always fun. Being able to fully immerse ourselves into the lives of our Story Makers brings authenticity to the stories we share. Keep an eye out for this project, it’s going to be rad!

The image shows a filming setup inside a skate park with a ramp on either side. A person sits on a chair in the center, illuminated by a bright key light. Behind them is a colorful totem-inspired mural. Crew members with cameras are positioned around, adjusting equipment, while string lights add a warm, ambient glow to the scene.

Filming around the office

On Friday, our Tellfellow Ally had the opportunity to do some more filming around the office! She shot and directed B-roll of the film team for a super exciting project that she’s working on. As people who are filming and directing talent most weeks for our own work, it can feel funny being on the other side of the camera! Ally did an amazing job capturing great content while having fun the whole time.

That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming December 20th!
