Teachwell: Learning Sh*t with Tellwell
The team launched into the week with our new internal learning series, Teachwell, where (on a semi-regular basis) teammates will teach each other semi-work related skills. We kicked off the series with Katie teaching the team about the Hero’s Journey.
The Hero’s Journey is a storytelling framework first coined by Joseph Campbell. It teaches how to break down narrative elements of a story into key stages – which we use in our branding and film work to establish our client as the helpful Guide that is assisting their audience in becoming the Hero of their own story.
Hanging Out with AAFND at 4:01
Those of us that were in town headed over to AAF-ND’s 4:01 happy hour event on Thursday and hungout with the other marketers of the Fargo-Moorhead area.
We met up at Thuen Studios, a specialist in commercial photography, videography, and design. Drinks were made, conversations were had, and we got out of the office early – overall, a win for everyone!
The Wild West(ern part of North Dakota)
The Film crew was out west this week visiting the North Dakota towns of Watford City, Ray, and Minot on a long day of shooting for our friends at BAND!
They visited our friends at RTC Networks (check out the spiffy rebrand we did for them), and visited a local fire station in Watford City!
In Ray, they headed on over to NCC and Ray High School (go Jays!) for some filming.
Finally, they found themselves in Minot, where they visited the Roosevelt Park Zoo and the SRT offices located there.
Websites As Far As The Eyes Can See
Folks, we’ve got website work pouring out of our ears at this point. Emma and Aaron have been hard at work with several web projects (shoutout to them), and we wanted to tease just a little bit of their work over the last few weeks.
Note: the images below are not necessarily an accurate reflection of what the final website will be. They are still a work in progress!
Walsh County Historical Society – a group dedicated to the preservation of Walsh County, ND! Their main attractions are the Walsh County Museum in Minto and Heritage Village in Grafton.
Dakota Carrier Network – Operators of a 100% fiber optic network providing connectivity into nearly every community in North Dakota.
FirstLink Film Festival!
Here’s a little reminder for you – the FirstLink Film Festival is coming up fast. We’re psyched to partner with FirstLink to bring the “Silence Speaks Aloud” 2022 Film Festival and Competition!
The festival encourages young people to learn about suicide prevention and mental health in an innovative way: through storytelling and video.
The deadline to submit is April 15th, with the festival itself being on April 28th!
Thank you for checking in with us! See you next week. ????
