The office was buzzing this week! Between prepping for community celebrations, receiving some exciting mail, and (of course) making creative content, we were on a roll. Let’s see what we got into!
“It’s a major award!”
Who else loves receiving fun packages in the mail? We do!
This week, we received our 2024 Telly Awards! Tellwell won three awards this year: Silver for Craft-Videography & Cinematography – Just Like Grandpa (Choice Bank), Bronze for General-Non-Broadcast – YWCA: Tracy’s Story (YWCA of Cass and Clay Counties), and Bronze for General-Local TV – Just Like Grandpa (Choice Bank).
We are so proud of these accomplishments and had a fun, impromptu photoshoot with the trophies to celebrate!
Quiet on set!
Another week, another film shoot! The film team was local this week conducting interviews, directing talent, and working angles. Seeing projects hit the production stage is always exciting.
With production for this project now moving into post-production, we can’t wait to see it come to life. Keep an eye out for more filming for even more projects in the future!
Goodbye, Binfy!
Binfy, our summer film intern, wrapped up her time with us at Tellwell this week. She did plenty of learning, editing, and team bonding with all of us this summer!
On Thursday, we celebrated with a team lunch. As storytellers, we obviously played “Pass The Graduation Ceremony Speech”, where each of us added on to the previous person, creating a silly and heartfelt goodbye speech. Binfy closed it out with three words: “Thank you, everyone.”
We are so grateful to have had her be part of our team this season and we are wishing her luck with her upcoming school year. We’ll miss you, Binfy!
FM Pride preparations
This week, we kicked planning into overdrive for FM Pride! Our team will be running around town filming, participating, and attending countless events this weekend to celebrate love, diversity and inclusion within our community.
FM Pride offers many events for all age groups including a 5k race, a youth drag show, a block party, a parade, and much more! Visit their website to take a look at all the events that are happening this weekend.
Our team will be out and about at many of the events so if you see us this weekend, don’t be shy and come say hi!
Along with celebrating Pride this weekend, Tellwell has been creating more Pride Stories: The Podcast! This week’s episode, “Transforming Fear Into Freedom: Carter’s Story” highlights a story of authenticity and resilience.
