Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

There may be snow in the forecast, but the Tellwell team had a red-hot week of film shoots, birthdays, and oddly specific headwear. Confused? There’s only one thing for it: read the Plog!

This week’s writer

Hi, friends – it’s your old pal Lucas, Lead Project Manager here at Tellwell. You can usually find me dreaming and scheming about our next film shoot with the Tellwell Film Team and the terrific Story Makers we get to work alongside. In October, I celebrated my third Tellwell birthday, and I have cherished every project, every road trip, and every story shared in those three unforgettable years. Here’s to many more!

Film shoots near and far-ish.

On Monday, the Tellwell team wrapped production on a new film for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley (RMHC). As we tell the story of a remarkable young girl who is thankfully on the other side of a harrowing medical journey, this film will tug at your heartstrings in all the best ways. Grab your tickets to see the completed story at RMHC’s Sweetheart Ball on February 14!

The Film Team hit the road before the crack of dawn on Tuesday to capture some footage in rural Stutsman County for an upcoming project with our friends at Vogel Law Firm. We relish any opportunity to break out our trusty car mount, which allows us to stick our camera somewhere we can’t stick our Duncan. It took a few extra tie-downs to make sure the camera wouldn’t end up getting harvested like corn, but the effort was worth it for a neat perspective on the big rig in action!

Look at me, I’m Sandra’s Bee (Day)

Sandie gained another ring on the tree trunk of her life last weekend, and the team got a chance to celebrate the birthday girl with some cookies and quality hang time with our favorite Senior Design Strategist. As the kids would say, we ATE and left no crumbs…

Stay with me, now!

A woman in a tie-dye sweatshirt and gray beanie labeled “Tellwell” is selecting cookies from a box that sits on a counter. Behind her, two coworkers are watching and smiling.
Six people smiling and posing indoors, holding a colorful handwritten sign that says “Happy Birthday Sandie!” One person in the back has their arms raised excitedly.

What would Annie do? Make hats, of course!

Whenever Megan and I need an extra dose of project management expertise, we often say something like “If I put on my Annie Hat, this is what I would do”. Our “Annie Hats” were purely metaphorical until Thursday, when Annie gifted us actual Annie Hats to celebrate International Project Management Day. I’m planning to keep mine right next to my desk for those moments when I just need a little boost of Annie’s signature smarts, inspiration, and whimsy. And if putting on the hat isn’t enough, I’ll probably just pop upstairs to her office and find the real thing.

Three people are sitting at a table and smiling at the camera. The person on the left is wearing glasses, a blue fleece, and a teal hat, pointing toward the woman in the middle. The woman in the center is wearing a rust-colored shirt, and the woman on the right has long red hair, a teal shirt, and a teal hat.
That’s all, folks! No “cap”. Keep an eye out for our next Plog, dropping November 14th.
