Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

This week was filled with brainstorms, benefits, and backdrops that matter. Let’s get into it!

This week’s writer

Hi readers, it’s Sandie here! I’m the Senior Design Strategist at Tellwell, and I’m thrilled to take the reins for this week’s plog. My role is all about helping our storymakers craft cohesive, impactful branding and design that bring their stories to life across every channel. Let’s dive into this week’s updates!

Press Play on Benefits: A Conversation with DVD

We can’t fast-forward through conversations about insurance—but it turns out, we don’t want to. On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of meeting with Derek VanDyke (or “DVD,” as he introduced himself) from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota to talk through upcoming updates to our health insurance.

Between puns, “pauses”, and a few requests to “rewind,” we got a clearer picture of what’s ahead. DVD made a dry topic surprisingly engaging, and we walked away feeling informed—and entertained.

Coffee, Crêpes, and Community

On Thursday, our Story Maker Success Manager Jenny, had a day full of connection and conversation with three nonprofit partners.

First was a meeting at Chai Motto with United Way, where creative ideas were shared over coffee. Next, a visit with The Great North Pole at the Executive Director’s home, an intimate setting with thoughtful conversation (and yes, a notable whiskey collection). The day wrapped up with an ice cream meeting at Tea & Crêpes alongside the Development Manager from Red River Children’s Advocacy Center.

Each meeting brought insight into the real challenges nonprofits face and opened the door for deeper collaboration around the WellTold Conference in April.

The woman on the right has long dark hair, a headband, and a black-and-white striped blouse. Both are holding iced coffee drinks. In the background, people can be seen near the counter, and the space features industrial ceilings, pendant lighting, and modern decor.

On the Road with InterBel

While Jenny connected locally, our production team hit the road. Megan (Design Project Manager), Max (Chief Storyteller), and Duncan (Director of Production) are out in Montana filming for InterBel.

The shoot highlighted two main stories: a mountain biking sequence featuring local rider Ethan, showcasing Montana’s rugged trails and remote connectivity, and a rodeo dream narrative with aspiring bull rider Octavius, filmed at the Majestic Valley Arena. Each story explored how InterBel’s services power the ambitions and everyday moments of the communities they serve.

The trip wrapped at InterBel’s Eureka headquarters with team portraits and newsletter photography.

That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next Plog, coming June 6th!
A woman smiles while lying on a couch with her chin resting on her hands and feet playfully kicked up behind her. She is wearing a gray "Ocean City" baseball cap and a black jacket. Behind her is a cozy office lounge with modern couches, a wooden coffee table with magazines, and a mural of pine trees, mountains, and a campfire. A bright yellow neon "TELLWELL" sign glows above the mural.
