Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

The most generous week of the year! Gala’s, Giving Hearts, and super soup!

A group of six people is posing together in a decorated room for Giving Hearts Day. They are all dressed in festive red and black outfits, with some wearing heart-themed accessories like heart-shaped sunglasses and headbands. The background features a blackboard-style sign with colorful handwritten text that reads "Keep Hope On The Line" along with heart decorations in pink, red, and orange. Each person is holding a sign with messages related to the event, such as "#countme," "#KeepHopeOnTheLine," and "Giving Hearts Day." One person in the group is holding a small French Bulldog wearing an orange bandana. They are all smiling and striking playful poses, showing enthusiasm for the cause. The setting appears to be an office or community space with a carpeted floor and a neutral-colored wall.

This week’s writer

It’s me, Duncan! I’m the Director of Production and a partner here at Tellwell. I get the opportunity to lead our film team and all the great work we do for our storymakers. Sometimes that means I’m on set directing a commercial, behind a camera as we capture a captivating human story for an impact film, or working with our post-production team to assemble an impactful final product. I also get to work closely with Max as we chart our course for the future of Tellwell!

Super Bowl, or SOUP-er Bowl?

This past Sunday the world gathered to watch the biggest game of the year. At Tellwell, we got to premiere a commercial in the Bozeman, MT market! Watch the final Kenyon Noble Super Bowl Spot here. On another note, we hosted our second annual SOUP-er Bowl! We had a soup pot-luck for our team lunch this week, featuring Lasagna Soup, White Chicken Chili, Curry Squash Soup and homemade sourdough!

A behind-the-scenes moment in a workshop where a filmmaker and an older craftsman are engaged in a conversation. The filmmaker, a man with long hair, a tattooed arm, and a gray cap worn backward, is wearing a black t-shirt and operating a professional Sony video camera mounted on a tripod. The craftsman, an elderly man with white hair, is wearing a light blue long-sleeved shirt and an apron, pointing to a tool on a pegboard wall filled with neatly arranged hand tools, saws, wrenches, and levels. The setting is a well-organized workshop with wooden cabinets, a workbench, and various tools stored in bins and drawers.
Three generations of a family—an elderly man, a middle-aged man, and a young boy—are standing together in a grassy backyard during what appears to be late afternoon or early evening. The elderly man on the left is wearing a light blue button-up shirt, jeans, and brown shoes, smiling warmly. The young boy in the center is dressed in a red long-sleeved shirt, navy pants, and sneakers, standing happily between the two adults. The middle-aged man on the right is wearing a red and white plaid shirt, jeans, and work boots, holding a rustic wooden lantern with a star design in his left hand. The background features lush trees, a fenced garden, and a house with a steep roof, bathed in golden light from the setting sun.
A top-down view of a white plate holding three small bowls of different soups and a slice of rustic bread. The soup in the top-right bowl is a tomato-based soup with melted shredded cheese on top. The bottom-right bowl contains a creamy, white soup with shredded chicken and herbs. The bottom-left bowl features an orange-colored soup, likely butternut squash or sweet potato, topped with crumbled cheese. A metal spoon rests on the right side of the plate, reflecting light. The plate is placed on a light-colored countertop.

Havin’ a Ball

We’re so proud to be the official storytelling partners of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley. This past Saturday was their annual Sweetheart Ball. The Tellwell team was out in full force! From designing programs to manning the Photo Booth, capturing event photos to chowing down on cupcakes, we made the most of this year’s event. Our annual Impact Film premiered during the event, take a peak and see how friendship helped Norma and Charlotte through the most challenging of times.

Giving Hearts Day Fun!

Every year we get the opportunity to support several of our local non-profits with their fundraising efforts. Some of the awesome storymakers we supported with fundraising campaigns this year included FirstLink, North Dakota Skateboarding Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley, and YWCA of Cass & Clay Counties.

At Tellwell, we also match donations by our employees on Giving Hearts Day. This year our team donated to 35 different non-profits, amounting to over $3,000 in donations!
