Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!
Welcome back everyone! What better way to start the new year than with a Re:Week Re:Cap? Let’s see what the Tellwellians got up to during our end of the year break!

“I hopped on a plane to head off to the mountains of Denver for time with my in-laws celebrating the Christmas holiday and meeting my new favorite family member, Lulu the Labradoodle. Oddly enough, it was nearly 60 degrees in Denver, so we got to play pickleball each day! Back in the Midwest, a quick day trip to MSP included time with one of my besties and hanging out in the Como Conservatory to enjoy a taste of summer in the midst of winter thanks to the greenery and plants. Otherwise I filled my days with reading and winter walks!”

“I spent my time on the North Shore with my family! My sister and I just so happened to thrift matching Christmas sweaters, so of course we had to document the moment. I also got to catch up with family and friends, enjoyed a Celtic Christmas concert, spend time in our sauna, and adventure by the big lake. Overall, a very relaxed Re:Week in the place I love most!”

“A lot of rest was had this Re:Week! My parents flew in from Florida on the 22nd and spent eight days with us. On Christmas Eve we went to the movies and saw Moana 2! It was Lennon’s first movie in the theater and she did great and loved every minute of it (especially the popcorn). We also hosted our 7th annual holiday party on the 28th. We had a lot of fun with a White Elephant gift exchange and even a few Tellwellian’s made an appearance. On New Year’s Eve, we spent the day with our good friends Grace and Cody and their 2 kiddos. We set off fireworks, played a lot of board games and ate a lot of yummy snacks! Cheers to the new year!”

“Hannah and I went down to St. Cloud, MN this year to have a Prigge Christmas with my family. Then returned to Fargo to have a chill rest of the break! In Fargo we got a chance to watch a few films in theater, make some progress on some projects around the house, eat some good food, and play a little banjo….”

“Christine and I joined some friends to play our favorite music from 2024 on Radio Free Fargo before heading West to Bismarck for a few restful days with my family. It was our dog Dipper’s first Christmas with us and my Mom made him his own stocking, complete with the Little Dipper constellation. Finally we headed back to Fargo for a few days of projects around the house as we welcomed the new year :)”

“My little family (Trav, Wesley, and I) started off the first weekend with bouncy castles, making reindeer pancakes with Grandma and Grandpa, race car tracks, and drum sets during time spent with Travis’ extended families. The weekdays at home before Christmas, Wesley and I sledded, made hot chocolate and homemade tomato soup, and played drums some more. Then the three of us drove down to the Twin Cities on a quiet, foggy Christmas morning, and spent a few days doing puzzles in many sizes, shapes, and varying degrees of difficulty with my parents, brother, and his fiancé! We even decorated a gingerbread house. Back home for the final weekend and beginning of New Years week, I spent time sewing, making homemade granola, and meandering in Barnes & Noble. So restful!”

“Our holiday season was a whirlwind of fun, family, and a bit of hard work! Emma and I kicked things off in Rogers, MN, celebrating Christmas with her family. We spent hours playing in the snow with nieces and nephews—laughing and soaking up the joy of the season. From there, we headed to Hatton, ND, to celebrate with my family. It felt great to be home, and we pitched in to help my parents with some projects around their house. We rounded out our holiday travels with a bit of a change of pace: an office tour and coffee catch-up with Annie Wood, followed by diving into a project of our own—insulating and drywalling our basement.”

“I started Re:Week hanging with two of my favorite kids and carting them around from rink to rink, much like I did when I nannied for them. Nothing like a blast from the past! I got to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Moorhead Girls Hockey and cheer on my dad as he was honored (proud daughter moment). After the celebrations commenced and the kids left, I headed out to the farm and spent time with family for Christmas. Most importantly, I got some incredible snuggles in from my niece. I rounded out the end of 2024 with a visit to Peteyville in Pelican Rapids, MN and the wedding of a former coworker!”

“We ventured east to Virginia to spend Christmas with our family at my brother Phillip and his husband Dylan’s house. Oliver got to meet his cousin Ed (a horse). We enjoyed a (tiny) bit warmer weather and played plenty of cards and marbles. Vanessa and I had a lovely day skiing and snowboarding at Detroit Mountain and spent New Years Day bowling with family in Fergus Falls!”
