Polar Communications is a telecommunications company built by the community, for the community, and run by individuals who actually live in the communities they serve. Polar has been providing internet, phone, television, and security services to rural communities in North Dakota since 1952, keeping people connected and empowering them to focus on their work.
When we say “they are killing it,” we really mean it! So when Polar approached us with the opportunity to help tell their story through a new website, we were beyond excited.
The Project
Many people say that the eyes are the window to the soul. Well, we think the same can be said for a brand and its website. Your website is often a potential customer’s first impression of your company. You want it to convey your personality, speak to your values, and draw people into a relationship—so that is what we set out to do with Polar Communications.
We wanted to accomplish a few key goals with Polar’s new website:
- First, it needed to clearly and concisely communicate Polar’s service offerings for customers, eliminating any confusion and room for misinterpretation.
- Second, the website needed to create a more efficient flow of communication between Polar support teams and customers in need of help.
- Last but not least, the website needed to tell the Polar story.
And we did just that! By collaborating with the Polar team, we created a sitemap structure that is simple for users to navigate, established a cleaner channel of communication between customers and support teams, and then audited and revamped content to reflect the history and mission of Polar. Take a look around and see for yourself:
