Welcome to Tellwell’s weekly Plog (photo-blog)!

So much fun packed into five days! We were out in the world, in our community, and in local classrooms this week. Read on to see what Team Tellwell was up to!

Three people smile for a selfie in front of the Fargo Theatre at night. The theater's iconic neon sign glows above them, and the marquee reads "25th Annual Fargo Film Festival." The person on the right, wearing a dark plaid shirt, holds the camera. The person on the left wears glasses, a black cap, and a dark jacket, while the person in the middle has blonde hair and is wearing a white sweater. The background is bustling with festival attendees and city lights.

This week’s writer

Hey readers, it’s Kari! I’m the video content specialist here at Tellwell and I have the pleasure of writing this week’s plog. As part of the film team, I conduct interviews, direct talent, write storylines, and so much more! Let’s get into it!

St. Patty’s Day fun 🌈🍀

We started the week off strong with St. Patrick’s Day fun at the office! Project Manager Megan said “If you’re a ginger on St. Patrick’s Day, you have to commit to the bit!” We enjoyed her holiday-themed get up, it definitely brought a smile to our faces!

And what better way to start off the day than with an Irish jig played on the penny whistle? Lead Editor Matt always has his penny whistle on hand, so he played us a tune which brought a lot of joy, laughter, and even some dancing throughout the office. Spirits were high for a Monday morning!

A woman with long red hair stands in a brightly lit, modern office space, smiling at the camera. She wears a large green leprechaun hat with a gold buckle and shamrock, along with black overalls over a white long-sleeve shirt that has rainbow-striped sleeves. Her hands are tucked into her pockets, and she wears yellow checkered slip-on shoes. The office features colorful furniture, a mural with trees and mountains, and a cozy, creative atmosphere with various decorations and plants.

A new arrival! 🐣

Early last week, Graphic Designer Jen welcomed a new honorary team member into the world: Meet Cyrus!

His arrival was sooner than expected, but everyone is doing well and finally resting back at home. We are sending you and your family well wishes, Jen! We can’t wait to meet him!

A woman with dark hair pulled back is smiling softly while holding a newborn baby in her arms. The baby is wrapped in a white hospital blanket with colorful footprints and has a small nasal tube for oxygen support. They are in a hospital room, with medical equipment including a breast pump and wall-mounted devices visible in the background. The woman is wearing a light gray t-shirt and is resting against a pillow, looking at the camera.
A woman and a man are smiling and posing with their newborn baby in a hospital room. The baby is snug in a car seat, wearing a striped hat and using a pacifier. The woman is holding a "NICU Diploma," indicating the baby has graduated from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is wearing a green fleece jacket, and the man, who has glasses and a beard, is dressed in a gray and yellow hoodie. Medical equipment is visible in the background, including monitors and IV stands, along with decorative dandelion wall art.

Attending Fargo Film Festival events 🎥

This week was the start of the Fargo Film Festival! Team members attended events throughout the week (and will continue this weekend). On Wednesday night, Annie made her way to the showing of “The Long Run,” an independent film following the lives of two strangers chasing their dreams of Hollywood.

On Thursday night, a few Tellwellians attended “Reel Stories”. Duncan, Lucas, and Kari made their way to the Fargo Theater for a night filled with short form documentaries, inspirational stories, and a live discussion with directors Prairie Rose Seminole and Joshua Carlon. As described, these documentaries “celebrate the best in humankind: our ability to persevere, explore, connect, and grow.”

Who doesn’t love a night at the theater with popcorn and snacks?

Three people sit together in a theater, smiling at the camera. The person on the left is a woman with blonde hair, wearing a white sweater, holding a box of popcorn and a program. The person in the middle is a man with glasses, wearing a black cap with an "S" on it, a dark hoodie, and a black puffer jacket, also holding a program. The person on the right is a man with short, curly brown hair, wearing a dark plaid shirt, taking the selfie. The background shows other theatergoers settling into their seats, with some standing and chatting.
A person holds a Fargo Film Festival program and a container of popcorn inside a theater. The program cover features colorful illustrations of film-related items such as a vintage camera, film reels, a megaphone, and a movie ticket with the festival dates: March 18-22, 2025. In the background, the theater stage is visible with a large "Fargo Film Festival" logo projected onto a curtain. A person is playing a pipe organ, and audience members are seated, some holding similar programs.

Inspiring the youths! ✨

This week, our Story Maker Success Manager Jenny was invited to speak at a communications class at MSUM! Here’s what Jenny had to say about her visit:

“During our roundtable discussion, students asked me about my experiences at MSUM as a Mass Communications Advertising/Public Relations major and how the skills I learned in school have shaped my career. We covered a lot of ground—everything from my career journey and tips for entering the workforce to overcoming challenges, investing in personal and professional development, and the power of networking. We also discussed the importance of getting involved in the community, following businesses and leaders who inspire them, and staying curious about the industry.

The conversation was incredibly dynamic, and we even went over time! It was a blast returning to Flora Frick, a place where I spent a lot of time during school.”

A group of nine people, consisting of men and women of varying ages and diverse ethnicities, pose together in a classroom. They are standing in front of a gray wall with several pieces of paper taped to it, containing handwritten labels like 'Contract Signed' and 'Working.' The room has whiteboard panels on one side and tables arranged in a U-shape. Some people are dressed casually in sweaters and jeans, while one person is wearing a blazer. They are all smiling and looking at the camera. There are notebooks, phones, and a red tumbler on the tables.

A visit to Tellwell South ✈️

Chief Storyteller Max made a visit to our “Tellwell South” branch (AKA Senior Web Strategist Riley) in South Dakota to connect and attend an AAF-SD lunch event! This event’s featured speaker was Emily Cohen, founder and partner at Casa Davka.

Tellwell met up with Casa Davka for a retreat in the beginning of the year, so being able to reconnect in person with Emily (and learn a thing or two during her presentation) was amazing. It was a quick trip, but so rewarding!

Three people stand together in a well-lit hallway, smiling at the camera. The person on the left is a bald man with glasses, a beard, and a warm smile, wearing a green shirt and an orange-and-brown plaid jacket. The person in the middle is a young man with short brown hair, wearing a green shirt and a light brown jacket, smiling brightly. The person on the right is a woman with short gray hair, wearing glasses, a purple button-up shirt, and large green tassel earrings. The background features a long hallway with neutral-colored walls, carpeted flooring, and overhead lighting.
That wraps up this week! Keep an eye out for our next plog, coming March 28th!
A group of six friends, including a small dog, are gathered around a kitchen counter, smiling and posing for a photo while holding pieces of dessert. The man in the foreground, wearing a red cap and plaid shirt, is holding a plate with a serving of the treat. A foil tray of the dessert, partially eaten and covered in chocolate, is on the counter. The kitchen has a modern style with a green accent wall, artwork, and various bottles on a shelf. The group is casually dressed, with one woman wearing a plaid shirt and a backward cap, and another man in a gray shirt and baseball cap. The atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed.
