In a series I am creatively calling, “Meet Team Tellwell”, I sit down with Tellwell’s brightest minds to chat about who they are, what makes them tick, and what gets them excited about coming to work every day.

In this article, I chatted with Graphic Designer and the longest Tellwell teammate, Aaron!

Hi, Aaron. Tell me about yourself!

I’m originally from Minnewaukan, ND (17 miles west of Devils Lake, ND) and I grew up on a farm and did all the farming things as a kid and teenager – I cultivated land, planted the seeds, and combined during harvest. In 2007, I started college at NDSU. I graduated in May of 2012 with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics (not currently using at the moment…). Some of my favorite things to do in my present life is hangout with friends, go to breweries, travel, and designing things with my Adobe Suite

If a stranger approached you and asked you to describe yourself… what would you say?

Pretty cool.
(This is Andrew speaking. This answer was low effort. Shame on you, Aaron.)

As you spend time here at Tellwell, what is your big goal?

Woof, this is a hard one for me because I’ve been with Tellwell for almost 8 years and everything has changed sooooo much in that time. Anyways, a goal I’ve always wanted to do is animation, I’m so fascinated by it and I want to learn more about it. It’s not like Toy Story but more like social media/video animation….but Pixar does some cool shit.

Let’s chat more about you outside of work. What are some things that make you happy?

Drinking a good IPA, hanging with cool people, and going to awesome concerts (Cannot wait for the Eras Tour!)

We love our community here in Fargo, what are some things you do to get involved in the area?

I like to go to charity events/galas, outside sport gatherings, FM Pride, AAFND, Fargo Docs, StartupBREW, TEDxFargo, & Drekkerfest.

What is your favorite place in Fargo right now?

Drekker/Brewhalla, Fargo Brewing Company, and maybe the North Port Hornbachers?

What’s the most memorable food experience you’ve ever had?

Tator Tot Hotdish at any restaurant that serves it! (so midwest omg).

Do you have a weird thing you’re passionate about?

History of pop culture, politics, and architectural evolution (all very random)

What’s some music you’ve been listening to lately?

I’m doing more than 3 and I don’t care

Taylor Swift: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Midnights
